研究関心	I am interested in comprative study of society and culture in mainland Southeast Asia. My primary research inerest was to study the actual process of socio-cultural reconstruction of village societies in post-conflict Cambodia. It was the resaerch for doctiral thesis that I lived in a village in rural Cambodia for over one years during the period of 2000-2002. In recent years, I am conducting short term field surveys in rural areas in Cambodia as well as neigboring countries that focuse on topics such as natural resource management, state-society relation, migrations in the regional integration and so on. I conduct quantitative researchs of Buddhist practice and culture in mainland Southeast Asia too.
