研究関心	"1. Development of new detection techniques for pathogens, and dissemination domestically and overseas 2. International networking in the field of food hygiene and infectious disease control Transboundary movement of pathogens have been increasing due to the progress of globalization, so we are working on practical research to control damage domestically and overseas. We have developed new pathogen detection technologies mainly in Japan and have been evaluating the performance in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Egypt, Tanzania, the United Kingdom and Spain in collaboration with local researchers. Using the developed technologies for epidemiological investigations throughout the world, we are working to elucidate the ecology of various pathogens.We are particularly interested in the interspecific transmission of pathogens from animals to humans."
